"Professional leave is defined
as leave to attend seminars, classes, lectures, workshops,
conventions or other related activities in aid of the development,
maintenance, or exchange of professional skills, techniques or
experiences which clearly relate to an employee's primary job
assignment or logical career progression." - Article 31,
Section 5 of the contract.
Up to ten days leave with pay may be
granted by an agency during the contract term. For the remainder of
this contract, that averages to one day every three months.
Up to $300 per year is available to
pay for workshops and conferences.
