Only people who retire by July 1, 2009 will be able to have coverage
under Anthem Preferred
during their retirement (although a retired spouse on Anthem Preferred
could add their spouse
to their Anthem Preferred coverage after 7/1/2009).
(NOTE: An Anthem Point of Service plan has been improved to the point
at which Anthem
Preferred might be a waste of premium dollars.)
Only people who retire by July 1, 2009 will pay $3 or $6 for
prescriptions. Those who
retire after that date will pay $5 or $10 minimums.
"Professional leave is defined
as leave to attend seminars, classes, lectures, workshops,
conventions or other related activities in aid of the development,
maintenance, or exchange of professional skills, techniques or
experiences which clearly relate to an employee's primary job
assignment or logical career progression." - Article 31,
Section 5 of the contract.
Up to ten days leave with pay may be
granted by an agency during the contract term.
Up to
$500 per person per year may be available to
pay for workshops and conferences.
